Our Premium Siding Nails

We offer two main categories of siding nails, depending on your project’s scope and the tools available.

Hand-Drive Nails

Hand-drive nails are essential to every construction project. Their diamond point design ensures they can penetrate the siding without splitting it, while their long shank enhances their holding strength. With our vast catalog, you will surely find the perfect hand-drive nails for your siding. Some of our favorites include:

  • Oval head siding nail: With its smooth shank, oval head and thickness of 12 gauge, the oval head siding nail is perfect for blind nailing. We offer a minimum length of 2 inches to ensure you have enough nail to easily join pieces.
  • Wood and hardboard siding nail: This nail’s thin and spiral shank provides excellent holding power on various kinds of wood. Its hot galvanized coating protects the nail from rusting, giving you a nail you can use in a wide range of climates.

Collated Nails

Our collated siding nails are perfect for your high-speed siding and fencing nailers. Here are our nails for siding:

  • 15° plastic sheet coil nails: The 15° plastic sheet coil nails use durable plastic coiling to provide speed and flexibility. Our weather-resistant coating and Grip-Rite® jam-free guarantee ensure you enjoy high-quality nailing with minimal interruptions.
  • 0° plastic coil nails: Shop for another design backed by our jam-free guarantee. The 0° plastic coil nails siding and fencing nails provide a seamless nailing operation with their on-center heads that offer improved drivability.

Best Practices for Siding Installation

If you want a siding that will stand the test of time, here are some installation tips to follow:

  • Direction: Drive the nail straight into the siding.
  • Spacing: A good nailing practice is to drive the nail head flush or slightly countersunk with the siding.
  • Penetration: Ensure the nails penetrate at least 1 1/4 inches into the sheathing or framing.
  • Leave gaps: Since siding is subject to expansion and contraction, leave a minimum gap of ¼ inch at openings and stops. Remember to increase the gap size if you are in warmer areas to account for more expansion.
