Grip-Rite® weather barrier house wraps are treated with superior UV treatment for six months of exposure without deterioration. Our premium exterior building wrap is manufactured with durable, highly dense polyethylene woven substrate with a high tensile strength. This construction allows the wrap to resist tearing when exposed to high winds. Grip-Rite® House Wrap and Commercial Grade weather barriers feature LDPE coatings on two sides. In contrast, the Grip-Rite® House Wrap-E and LWE have a coating on one side. All products in the Grip-Rite® WRB house wrap category are micro-perforated for breathability.

  • Use the WRB house wrap in applications that are code compliant with AC 38 to Grade D building paper.
  • Grip-Rite® House Wrap is a weather-resistive barrier that can be used for air filtration and moisture protection.
  • When used in plastic applications, our housing wrap can be used over exterior wood sheathing when applied in two layers.
  • Specific instructions apply to stud construction.

  • Avoid exposing the house wrap to direct sunlight for more than 90 days.
  • Apply final siding within a maximum of 90 days.
  • Avoid any foot traffic on the wrap.
  • This product is slippery when wet.
  • Do not expose the material to surfactants.
